A place we did not know existed right down the street from us, and for two people who are always looking for new wine to taste, it surprised us that we did not know how close they were. After a drive down a long gravel and dirt road, we came upon the log cabin building that was beautiful with a gorgeous view of part of their vineyard and a local mountain. I could sit on their terrace for hours enjoying the view and their wine.

We had a wine tasting of five wines. The Persphone was our favorite and one that we will definitely be going back for more of. Coming in at a very close second was the Red Persphone, so close that it almost tied with the white. Third on our list of the ones that we liked was the 2015 Chardonnay. This one was not originally part of the wine tasting that we came in for, but because one of the wines on the list for our wine tasting was not ready yet, they substituted this one in its place. The other two wines that we tried were not as sweet and so because we love our sweet wines, they were not on our favorite list even though they had great body. If you like drier wines then I believe you will definitely be able to find something you like there.

Our wine tasting was conducted by one of the owners, Leslie Zimmerman, a friendly lady with a lot of talent. They chose to use mythological gods for their logos and the name of some of their wines, and she is the artist behind the beautiful labels they use. We loved our experience at the winery and will definitely be back for one of their Sisyphus Saturdays this summer.
